       As far as one can look back into the past there have always been cats in our households. Our parents used to have cats, and when we started to live on our own, neither of us could imagine a life without a cat at home. When we decided to live together, fate willed to send us almost immediately a dying of exhaustion, few weeks' old white puss from Piwnica*pl cattery. Bajtek, which name he got, grew up and in the course of time - nobody knows why - he changed into a sweet quiet gelding. However, we were still thinking of buying a pure-bred cat. 

At present we have five wonderful  Devon's female and three males pure-bred cats and their leader, Bajtuś, which live in great mutual love and harmony. Our home changed into a nest of mischief and a vibrant night whirl that becomes especially lively after the lights go off at night. Then invisible races wherever possible including our bodies and hearts.

We called our cattery "Ostoja" ("Refuge") to stress the fact that love, respect for all forms of life, for people, animals and the environment. We want our home to be a refuge for values that in the modern world are more and more often forgotten.
